Of Most Import

If writing were all my work
And I had no duty but to dream
And creativity ruled
And passion wasn’t just a theme,
If I was appointed to inspire,
with a pen and pad,
And take people to a special place
That they’d always wished they had,
If I were a bridge between God and man
To spread the simple truth
And say that which must be said
And is believed without proof.
I would strife to live life with love
And see the wonder that there always is
Laying about to be caught with words
And shown to all that lives.
For we are blinded by our own demise,
By believing our lives are short,
And we miss the divine of every day,
And the things of most import.
